Circle of Love & CDA Projects

The Catholic Daughters have projects and charities that we support at the local, state, and national level. We plan our events and choose which charities to support based on the seven areas of focus from the Circle of Love: Family, Spiritual Enrichment, Education, Legislation, Quality of Life, Youth/Junior CDA, and Leadership. Our goal is that by promoting Catholic principles in these areas, we will be able to bring Christ into our community.

Our Local Projects:

Pray and Support our Seminarians

At each of our meetings, we have a table with pictures, contact information, and brief biographies of the current seminarians from our local diocese. We pray for all of the seminarians and try to make a holy hour for them as well. We encourage our members to send cards or notes letting the men know that we’re praying for them. Around holidays we will also send little gifts or care packages. Our goal with this project is to support our local seminarians and promote vocations to the priesthood in our diocese.

Birthday Club

This project involves saying hello to our Catholic Daughter members on their birthdays. At each of our monthly meetings, we pass around a basket with the names and contact info for our members who have birthdays that month. Members take a name and either call or send a birthday card to help brighten the birthday of our court members.

The Buddy Program

This was a new initiative started with members delivering our Court membership book to inactive members. The personal deliveries will lead to many wonderful conversations. We encourage all members to visit or call inactive members. Continued friendships are important.

Local charities our Court has supported and/or continues to support:

  • Diocese of Bismarck Seminarians
  • Assumption Abbey
  • Annunciation Monastery
  • Home on the Range
  • Real Presence Radio
  • North Dakota Right to Life
  • St. Mary’s Sisters
  • Servants of the Children of Light
  • Stepping Stone Ministries

The 2026 North Dakota State Project:

Stepping Stone Ministries – This is a non-profit medical organization that provides transitional care for the poor. Those who no longer qualify for acute care (such as a hospital) but are not yet able to be sent home would usually go to a transitional care medical facility. Stepping Stone Ministries provides a transitional care unit for the homeless or extreme poor who otherwise would be unable to afford it. Catholic Daughters of North Dakota has chosen Stepping Stone Ministries as our 2026-27 state project.
